When we sold off our sheep we kept a few of our Pyrs as they weren't fond of anyone but us. Winston was our youngest Pyr and was not ready to retire so we gave him to another sheep farmer in NS. This was several years ago.
We popped in on him today to see if Winston was still around - as he was the last remanent of our sheep farm. Sure enough he was. He certainly looked different. Winston is shown on the left and his son is on the right.
The lower photo shows Winston in his younger days on our farm front & center on guard.
The farmer had plenty of stories about Winston including how he had dispatched a pack of coyotes and even scared off a bear at one time. These are amazing dogs!!
